You can tell a lot by shoes

Warning this post is in no way intended to offend anybody...don't get offended. It's a general observation made by me and two friends at a football game. Ok! That being said it has come to my attention this week that shoes say a lot about a girl. So during half time some friends and I analyzed shoe wears of all types and we came up with some good conclusions.
(we lumped ourselves into it to! Here's ours foot attire for the night)
So lets talk about shoes!
Tennis shoes with long jeans, this is a Utah thing. Tennis shoes can included things such as sketchers, nikes, ascics, or any other type of running like shoe.  These are the comfort seekers and laid back. They often times(and i say often and not always, pay attention to the often) wear t shirts and hair pulled back into a pointail with minimal make up on.  Often these are the people you wake up effortlessly get ready for the day and are out the door ready to go. (BYU is full of tennis shoe wears)

Then we have ballerina flat girls. These are the preppy girls. Skinny jeans ballerina tops and a nice top or sweater are these peoples go to.  They fall somewhere between high maintanence and low maintanence they want to look put together and nice but dont want to spring for the heel to walk the mile to class.

Oh you high healed wearers you amaze me.  These people are a bit of a mystery to me, I hate heels and it hard for me to comprehend why they wear them all day. Often times these are the girls that are more high maitence(remember no offense taken by this post). They often times average below 5'4, this i understand, wanting to look taller. Full blowen make up and dressy clothes normally accomany the heels on a daily basis. Heel wears I admonish you.

Cronic tom wears: Poeple of all types that are addictted to toms. (you may need help, Just kidding!)

Vans/converse. These two made it out of the tennis shoe category to form one of their own. These are the spunky, funky, often artsy people. They wear lots of colors(sometimes in their hair), plaid scarfs, and skinny jeans.  Or sometimes its the preppy girls seeking the comfort of a tennis shoe.  They are often pretty laid back people as well.

So there it is our over generalized steryotypes of shoe wears.  Again these were observations made at a football game. These assumptions were made about people who wear the same type of shoe daily. I myself wear almost every type.  Also, these assumptions were based primarily on the popluation of BYU students. These observations were also made about girls, men well we won't even attempt that.
So what do your shoes say about you?

ps
here is a video for you sunday
i really like this look for fall. go emily frame!

The Reason Why

this week i started the special education program at byu.  i feel so extremely grateful for the opportunity.  it did not come easy i have worked hard, made a lot of changes, and fought for my chance to get where i am.  i plan on not taking it for granted for even a minute.  i have been loving it so far...the whole two days of it.  the professors are amazing and so enthusiastic and the other girls in my cohort(the group of us that will graduate togther) are so fun and inspiring.
we were asked why we chose special education in one of our classes and it got me thinking i origianlly chose to go into special education because it just clicked and i was good at it and i liked that.
however...my reason for doing special education has changed through working with people with disabilities i have gained a testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ.  through that amazing indidviduals i have had the oppotunity of working with i know my Savior loves me and loves them soo much. these special spirits are where my heart is.  i love them! they make me a better person, this is the reason i chose special education

i love this video it is just one more reason i love what i do!

I love BYU sports...when i say LOVE i mean LOVE. Since i am poor this semster and could not afford an all sports pass i will most likely be watching most of the games while on the tredmill at the gym, seeing as how i do not have cable. However, i intend on watching every game!! I can smell football in the air(figurtively) and this is all that i am thinking about...i feel slightly manly but who cares!! so dear cougs please make me proud this season and KICK SOME BUTT!!(partly so i dont look like a total idiot having a freak out at the gym when you lose!

efy!

One of my favorite memories as a teenager was being able to attend EFY, i felt the spirit more at efy than any other time in my life so far. I made friends that changed my life and that are still my friends to this day. I had session directors who taught me how to be a better person and teachers who helped teach me about the gospel. i learned that good wholesome fun was not only possible but that i enjoyed it as well. Most of all i had counselors who i love dearly and whom i looked up to. i remember wanting to be just like my counselors, and guess what....I AM NOW AN EFY COUNSELOR!! i am so EXCITED and so NERVOUS for this amazing opportunity that has been given to me. i am looking forward to seven weeks of getting to share my testimony and grow and learn for amazing people! i never thought i would be lucky enough to be able to attend efy for seven weeks in one summer but now i get the chance of a lifetime and i could not be more grateful. so while the rest of you are swimming, vacationing, and selling(haha!) all summer long i will get to be spending time with amazing youth playing fun games, dancing, and most importantly coming closer to Christ!

Ditching Real Life!

I have failed at blogging again...:( one day i will get the hang of this and become and amazing blogger. So today i am taking what my dear friend Amy calls a "MENTAL HEALTH DAY" i just decided to take the day off work and get some things done and first one my list (after spending the last hour of my morning reading other peoples blogs) is to update my own blog. Here is the rest of my day...i will be producative even though i am skipping work.
1. Take my trunk to get fixed(it has continued to break since i bought my car, one of the disadvantages of buying a car that costs about the same as a semesters tuition. however, if the trunk is the only thing breaking i am ok with it.)
2.go to the chiropractor(it wil be my first time and my back sure does need it, i think, so i am looking forward to it)
3.get my etraining done for EFY and finish my preparing my last couple devotionals(only one more week until i start!!!!)
4.go to the gym???(i am still debating i don't really want to but i probably should)
5.LEARN TO MAKE HOMEMADE BREAD(today is the day i am going to teach myself to make homemade bread!, it is somehting i have always wanted to accomplish and today i will do it!)
so this is how a ditch real life by doing things i am too lazy to do after i spend 61/2 hours with my beautiful students!
